Adams, Evangeline Smith (1873–1932)
American astrologer who originated "Adams' Philosophy." Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, in 1873; died in 1932; educated at a private school in Andover, Massachusetts.
Evangeline Adams originated "Adams' Philosophy," a synthesis of the occult theories of the Orient and the West. After building a reputation as a successful astrologer in the United States, she attempted to see astrology legalized in Great Britain. There, she was well known as a radio broadcaster and newspaper columnist on the subject of astrology, credited with having correctly forecast the death date of King Edward VII.
