Neglia, Francesco Paolo
Neglia, Francesco Paolo, Italian composer and teacher; b. Erma, May 22, 1874; d. Intra, July 31, 1932. He studied with G. Zuelli at the Parma Cons. In 1901 he went to Hamburg, where he was director of his own conservatory and a conductor at the City Theater. With the outbreak of World War I, he returned to Italy and later became director of his own music school in Legnano. He wrote an opera, an operetta, 2 syms. and other orch. works, sacred works, chamber pieces, and songs.
