Britannic 1999
Britannic ★★ 1999
The Brittanic, the Titanic's sister ship, was built as a luxury liner but when WWI began the ship was turned into a hospital transport after its launch in 1914. The ship did sink off the Greek coast in 1916 (probably due to a torpedo or mine) but the filmmakers haven't let any other facts of the story stand in the way of this poor man's “Titanic” with its class difference romance and other cliches. 96m/C VHS, DVD . Edward Atterton, Jacqueline Bisset, John Rhys-Davies, Bruce Payne, Amanda Ryan, Ben Daniels; D: Brian Trenchard-Smith; W: Brian Trenchard-Smith, Brett Thompson, Dennis A. Pratt; C: Ivan Strasburg; M: Alan Parker. CABLE
