Dalberto, Michel (Jean Jacques)
Dalberto, Michel (Jean Jacques) , French pianist; b. Paris, June 2, 1955. He was a student at the Paris Cons., his principal mentors being Vlado Perlemuter, Raymond Trouard, and Jean Hubeau. In 1975 he won the Clara Haskil prize and the Salzburg Mozart competition, and in 1978 captured first prize in the Leeds competition. After making his formal debut as soloist with Leinsdorf and the Orchestre de Paris in 1980, he pursued a global career as a soloist with orchs., recitalist, and chamber music player.
