Palombo, Paul (Martin)
Palombo, Paul (Martin), American composer; b. Pittsburgh, Sept. 10,1937. He was trained in electronics; studied composition at the Peabody Cons, of Music in Baltimore and at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, N.Y. (Ph.D., 1969), with Barlow and Rogers. In 1969 he was appointed to the faculty of the Univ. of Cincinnati (Ohio) Coll.-Cons. of Music; in 1973, assumed the direction of the electronic music studio there; then was director of the music school of the Univ. of Wash, in Seattle (1978–81); in 1981 he became dean of the Coll. of Fine Arts at the Univ. of Wise, in Stevens Point.
