SIDELIGHTS:
Lynn Bulock is a romance writer who has also written the "Gracie Lee Harris" mystery series, which combines sleuthing with romance.
Bulock's romance novel Island Breeze finds computer geek Bree Trehearn fleeing from a man who wants her dead. When she arrives in Florida, she endears and mystifies Cody North, a former cop who is now proprietor of the Island Breeze condos. The two quickly bond, and when Bree goes missing, Cody is determined to find her. Looking for Miracles presents the story of Lori Harper, a pregnant widow with a young son who meets Mike Martin when he delivers a Christmas food basket to their door. In Walls of Jericho, a long-married couple have misgivings about their relationship and wonder what their lives would have been like if they had never married each other.
The "Gracie Lee Harris" series features romance, faith, and mystery. The first book in the series, Love the Sinner, finds Gracie Lee moving to California with her husband, Dennis, and her mother-in-law. When Dennis dies in a coma, the women must turn to God for guidance. In Less Than Frank, Gracie has returned to graduate school while continuing to be under suspicion for her husband's death. Her son, Ben, becomes a suspect in another death, that of the contractor, Frank, who is killed while working on renovations in their apartment. With the help of her Christian group, which consoles the bereaved family, Gracie attempts to find the real killer and becomes involved with a new man, Detective Ray Fernandez. CataRomance.com reviewer Annie wrote: "Lynn Bulock has written a satisfying and gratifying novel which is worth a reread."
