The Dave Family “Humor Studies” Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To help cultivate the next generation of AATH members. Focus: Therapy. Qualif.: Applicants must be college students pursuing humor/laughter studies with an interest in entering the field of applied or therapeutic humor. Criteria: Priority is given to applicants entering colleges and universities in the United States.
Funds Avail.: $500. To Apply: Applicants must submit three essays (up to 250 words each) answering these questions: How do you plan to apply our Humor/Laughter education in the field after college?; Why do you feel you are most deserving of this conference scholarship?; How has humor/laughter helped you in a difficult situation? Ed Dunkelblau Scholarships (All/Scholarship)
Purpose: To honor the work, dedication, commitment and contribution to AATH and the field of therapeutic humor. Focus: Therapy. Qualif.: Applicants must be practitioners of color or researchers interested in the cultural applications of therapeutic humor. Criteria: Selection will be based on the applicant's awareness of AATH mission.

Margie Klein “Paper Plate” Scholarships (All/Scholarship)
Purpose: To honor the work, dedication, commitment and contribution to AATH and in the field of therapeutic humor. Focus: Therapy. Qualif.: Applicants must show interest in therapeutic humor. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on submitted essay.

Lenny Ravich “Shalom” Scholarships (All/Scholarship)
Purpose: To help cultivate the next generation of AATH members. Focus: Therapy. Qualif.: Program is open to
individuals whose works in humor and laughter clearly and tangibly demonstrate commitment to world peace. Criteria: Selection will be based on the impact of the applicant's essay.
Funds Avail.: No specific amount. To Apply: Applicants must submit three essays (up to 250 words each) answering these questions: How do you presently apply (or plan to apply) you knowledge and experience in humor and laughter to advance world peace?; How has your mission and purpose in life brought you to this moment?; Why do you feel that you are deserving of this scholarship? Patty Wooten Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To honor the work, dedication, commitment and contribution to AATH and the field of therapeutic humor. Focus: Therapy. Qualif.: Program is open to nurses (R.N., L.P.N., L.V.N. or C.N.A). Criteria: Recipients are selected based on submitted essay.
