The William H. Davis, Jr. Scholarship Fund (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To maintain and enhance the educational, social, cultural, health and civic resources of the community through support of qualified non-profit organizations. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be graduating seniors of Southeastern Greene School District or its equivalent; must be accepted students at Westmoreland County Community College as full-time students or registered for a minimum of 12 credit hours; must be qualified for no more than three-quarters financial aid. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on financial need.

Funds Avail.: $500. Number Awarded: 2. To Apply: Applicants must submit five copies of their FAFSA, Special Condition Form, verification of GPA from the guidance counselor, copy of acceptance letter from WCCC and attendance record.

The Thelma S. Hoge Memorial Scholarship Fund (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To maintain and enhance the educational, social, cultural, health and civic resources of the community through support of qualified non-profit organizations. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be graduating seniors from West Greene; must be accepted at a post-secondary or four-year college degree program; must have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on essay, results of an interview and completed application.

Funds Avail.: $1,000. To Apply: Applicants must provide a brief essay about themselves; copy of high school transcript and two character references.

The Renardo A. Matteucci Scholarship Fund (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide an annual need-based scholarship to the Jefferson-Morgan High School. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be graduating students from Jefferson-Morgan High School; must be planning to pursue a Bachelor Degree, an Associate Degree or a Diploma from a trade school; must have a minimum GPA of 2.75. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on financial need.

Funds Avail.: $1,000. To Apply: Applicants must submit five copies of their FAFSA, Special Condition Form, verification of their GPA from guidance counselor, an official attendance record and post-secondary acceptance letter. Deadline: April 15.

The Walter Samek III Memorial Scholarship Fund (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To assist graduating senior class members of Carmichaels High School to continue post-secondary education. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be Carmichaels senior boys or girls who are enrolled in an approved post-secondary college/university; must have a 3.5 GPA. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on financial need and community service.

Funds Avail.: No specific amount. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed application form. Deadline: April 15.
