Charles Lee Anderson Memorial Scholarship (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To serve the four county area (Boone, Ogle, Stephenson and Winnebago) through philanthropy; to provide leadership in meeting charitable needs. Focus: Education. Qualif.: Applicants must be Rock Valley or Sycamore High School graduating seniors who will enter a college or university to pursue a degree in education. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on demonstrated optimism, determination and love of neighbor.

Purpose: To serve the four county area (Boone, Ogle, Stephenson and Winnebago) through philanthropy; to provide leadership in meeting charitable needs and to be a responsible steward to the Foundation’s donors and of the Foundation’s endowment. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be graduating senior athletes from Jefferson High school who have participated in high school sports for a minimum of three years including their senior year; must have 2.5 or higher cumulative GPA; must have plans to attend a two-or-four year college or university. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on financial need.

Harry H. and Floy B. Chapin Scholarship (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To serve the four county area (Boone, Ogle, Stephenson and Winnebago) through philanthropy; to provide leadership in meeting charitable needs and to be a responsible steward to the Foundation’s donors and of the Foundation’s endowment. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be graduating senior students from Du-rand, Dakota or Pecatonica High school; must rank in top 15% of graduating class; must plan to attend a recognized college or university. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on financial need and involvement in school, community and/or church activities.

Community Foundation Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Margaret T. Craig Community Service Scholarship (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To serve the four county area (Boone, Ogle, Stephenson and Winnebago) through philanthropy; to provide leadership in meeting charitable needs and to be a responsible steward to the Foundation’s donors and of the Foundation’s endowment. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be high school graduates under the age of 23 or graduating seniors with a permanent address in Winnebago County; must have a plan to pursue a two or four-year degree at an accredited college, university or trade school; must have a minimum of 2.75 GPA. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on financial need, community involvement and strong commitment to improving the quality of life for people in their school, community and country.

William R. Durham/Theater Scholarship (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To serve the four county area (Boone, Ogle, Stephenson and Winnebago) through philanthropy; to provide leadership in meeting charitable needs and to be a responsible steward to the Foundation’s donors and of the Foundation’s endowment. Focus: Theater Arts. Qualif.: Applicants must be high school graduates or graduating seniors with a permanent address within Winnebago or Boone county with a GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale; must plan to attend an accredited four-year college or university to obtain an M.A. or B.A.; must intend to teach theater or work professionally as a performer or technician in theater. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on financial need.

Helen R. Finley-Loescher Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To serve the four county area (Boone, Ogle, Stephenson and Winnebago) through philanthropy; to provide leadership in meeting charitable needs and to be a responsible steward to the Foundation’s donors and of the Foundation’s endowment. Focus: Arts. Qualif.: Applicants must be Freeport High School students demonstrating academic achievement, self-motivation and an interest in the arts; must have exhibited artistic talent through participation in the high school arts curriculum; must have plans to pursue education in fine arts. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on financial need and demonstrated active involvement in social studies organizations, clubs and classes such as student government, political campaigns, social service and community service.

John Flynn Memorial Scholarship (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To serve the four county area (Boone, Ogle, Stephenson and Winnebago) through philanthropy; to provide leadership in meeting charitable needs and to be a responsible steward to the Foundation’s donors and of the Foundation’s endowment; to provide educational resources to Pecatonica High School senior students who are pursuing higher education. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be graduating Pecatonica High School senior students who are pursuing higher education; must have at least a 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale and have been involved in community service. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on financial need.

Louise J. Franchini Rockford Police Department Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To serve the four county area (Boone, Ogle, Stephenson and Winnebago) through philanthropy; to provide leadership in meeting charitable needs and to be a responsible steward to the Foundation’s donors and of the Foundation’s endowment. Focus: Law Enforcement. Qualif.: Applicants must be high school graduates currently enrolled in an accredited law enforcement program or high school seniors who are planning to pursue a career in law enforcement; must reside in Winnebago County. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on financial need.

Purpose: To serve the four county area (Boone, Ogle, Stephenson and Winnebago) through philanthropy; to provide leadership in meeting charitable needs and to be a responsible steward to the Foundation’s donors and of the Foundation’s endowment; to provide educational resources to students pursuing a career in education. Focus: Education. Qualif.: Applicants must be female Rockford College or Northern Illinois University sophomore or junior students who are pursuing a career in secondary math or science education. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on financial need.

Amber Huber Memorial Scholarship (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To serve the four county area (Boone, Ogle, Stephenson and Winnebago) through philanthropy; to provide leadership in meeting charitable needs and to be a responsible steward to the Foundation’s donors and of the Foundation’s endowment. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be graduating senior females from Byron High School who have participated in the Byron High School girls track program and/or Byron High School Cheerleading program for at least three seasons including their senior year; must have a minimum GPA of 5 on an 11 point scale or “C” average. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on financial need.

International Management Council (IMC) Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To serve the four county area (Boone, Ogle, Stephenson and Winnebago) through philanthropy; to provide leadership in meeting charitable needs and to be a responsible steward to the Foundation’s donors and of the Foundation’s endowment; to provide educational resources to Winnebago County high school graduating seniors to pursue a degree in business. Focus: Business. Qualif.: Applicants must be graduating seniors residing in Winnebago County who are pursuing a degree in business; must have a GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and have been active in community service. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on financial need.

Ashley E. Ketcher Memorial Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To serve the four county area (Boone, Ogle, Stephenson and Winnebago) through philanthropy; to provide leadership in meeting charitable needs and to be a responsible steward to the Foundation’s donors and of the Foundation’s endowment; to provide educational funds to support Auburn High school CAPA students planning to attend an accredited college or university. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be graduating Auburn High School seniors in the CAPA program who have an interest in and prior experience in the performing arts; must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on financial need.

Purpose: To serve the four county area (Boone, Ogle, Stephenson and Winnebago) through philanthropy; to provide leadership in meeting charitable needs and to be a responsible steward to the Foundation’s donors and of the Foundation’s endowment. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be graduating senior students or graduates from a Rockford high school who have a GPA of at least 2.0; must have plans to attend a college, university or trade school; must be residents of northwest Rockford or have a history of involvement at the Northwest Community Center as either a volunteer or participant. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on financial need.

Katharine H. Obye Scholarship Award (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To serve the four county area (Boone, Ogle, Stephenson and Winnebago) through philanthropy; to provide leadership in meeting charitable needs and to be a responsible steward to the Foundation’s donors and of the Foundation’s endowment. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be female students who are graduating from a public high school within Boone or Winnebago county who have plans to teach at any level or in any field; must have done outstanding work on a high school publication staff such as newspaper or yearbook. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on financial need.

William Pigott Memorial Scholarship (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To serve the four county area (Boone, Ogle, Stephenson and Winnebago) through philanthropy; to provide leadership in meeting charitable needs and to be a responsible steward to the Foundation’s donors and of the Foundation’s endowment; to encourage and support other students who are actively involved in extracurricular activities. Focus: Drama. Qualif.: Applicants must be graduating seniors at Oregon High School who actively participate in music or drama. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on demonstrated leadership.

Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity College Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To serve the four county area (Boone, Ogle, Stephenson and Winnebago) through philanthropy; to provide leadership in meeting charitable needs and to be a responsible steward to the Foundation’s donors and of the Foundation’s endowment. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must have plans to attend an accredited junior college or university; must be current homeowner residents or dependents of homeowner residents of a home built by Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity; must be residing in that home at time of scholarship application.
