Don Debolt Franchising Scholarship Program (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial support to those students who are in need. Focus: General Studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be graduating high school seniors who have an expressed interest in pursuing a degree in entrepreneur-ship and franchising. Criteria: Preferences will be given to those students who meet the criteria.

Funds Avail.: $2,500. Number Awarded: 2. To Apply: Applicants must submit completed application form.

Remarks: The Don DeBolt Franchising Scholarship Program, named in honor of IFA’s recently-retired president who served from 1995 to 2004, is being conducted in cooperation with DECA and Delta Epsilon. Contact: International Franchise Association at the above address (see entry 3855).

Franchise Law Diversity Scholarship Awards (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To recognize and support academic achievement among diverse law students. Focus: Law. Qualif.: Applicants must be enrolled in an ABA-accredited law schools. Applicants must have 2L or 3L status during the period of the scholarship, and they must be enrolled in at least one course oriented towards franchise law (e.g., Torts, Unfair Trade Practices, Trade Secrets, Antitrust, Trademarks, Contracts, Agency, Securities). Applicants must be considered members of diverse groups (African American, American Indian, Hispanic American, Asian American, or Gay/Lesbian). Criteria: Preferences will be given to those students who are in need.
