Paul Mansur Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To provide opportunities for full-time students attending the IHS international symposium to receive a lesson from a world renowned artist or teacher. Focus: Music. Qualif.: Applicants must be full-time students 18 years or younger and 19-26 years old at the time of the symposium. Criteria: Candidates essays will be evaluated for both content and grammar by the appointed committee of the IHS President.

To Apply: Applicants must submit applications to the IHS Executive Secretary, either on paper or by email; proof of full-time public or private school, conservatory, or university enrollment; and essay on the subject of how attending and receiving a lesson during the symposium will enhance his/her education. Barry Tuckwell Scholarships (All/Scholarship)
Purpose: To encourage and support worthy horn students to pursue education and performance by attending and participating in masterclasses and workshops throughout the world. Focus: Music. Qualif.: Applicants must be age 18 or older and not yet have reached age 25. Criteria: Recipient will be selected by the appointed committee of IHS Scholarship Chairs based on combination of ability, character, motivation, goals and opportunities available at the selected venue.
Funds Avail.: $500. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed Tuckwell Scholarship application, available online or from the executive secretary; three copies of two brief essays, outlining the applicant’s experience and plan to study and perform at a specific event; three copies of a CD-format recording of one movement of a concerto or sonata (with piano), one etude, and two orchestral excerpts; and two letters of recommendation including an assessment of need.
