Anheuser-Busch NAPABA Law Foundation Presidential Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To award law students who demonstrate an outstanding leadership potential to serve the Asian Pacific American community. Focus: Law. Qualif.: Applicants must be a student enrolled as a law degree candidate in an accredited law school in the United States at least half time as determined by the school is eligible. Criteria: Applicants are selected by the foundation in consultation with the president of NAPABA.
Funds Avail.: $7,500. To Apply: Applicants must submit complete application form; official copy of most recent law school transcript; resume; two letters of recommendation; a copy of application to law school for financial assistance. Lim, Ruger and Kim Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To award to law students who demonstrate a commitment to serve or contribute to the Asian Pacific American community as future leaders. Focus: Law. Qualif.: Applicants must be a student enrolled as a law degree candidate in an accredited law school in the US at least half time as determined by the school. Criteria: Applicants must have demonstrated financial need.
Funds Avail.: $2,500. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed and signed application form from foundation; official copy of the applicant's most recent law school transcript; resume; letter of recommendation from persons not related to the applicant.
Remarks: In 2004 the Foundation established its Lim, Ruger and Kim Scholarship through the generosity of the law firm of Lim, Ruger and Kim in Los Angeles.
NAPABA Law Foundation Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To award law students who demonstrate a commitment to serve or contribute to the Asian Pacific American community as future leaders. Focus: Law. Qualif.: Applicants must be a student enrolled as a law degree
candidate in an accredited law school in the US at least half time as determined by the school. Criteria: Applicants must have demonstrated financial need.
Funds Avail.: $2,500. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed and signed application form from foundation; official copy of the applicant's most recent law school transcript; resume; letter of recommendation from persons not related to the applicant.
Remarks: In 2003 the Foundation named one of these scholarships in memory of Chris Nakamura; a leader of the Asian Pacific legal community of Arizona.
Diane Yu Loan Repayment Assistance Program (Undergraduate/Loan)
Purpose: To assist recent law graduates who are working in Asia Pacific American legal service organizations to repay a portion of their student loans. Focus: Law. Qualif.: Applicants must be a student enrolled as a law degree candidate in an accredited law school in the US at least half time as determined by the school. Criteria: Applicants must have demonstrated financial need.
Funds Avail.: $5,500 for each of two years to be applied to their educational debt. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed and signed application form from foundation; official copy of the applicant's most recent law school transcript; resume; letter of recommendation from persons not related to the applicant.
Remarks: Diane Yu is a long-time supporter of NAPABA and the NAPABA Law Foundation and generously funded a program in 2004.
