Pharmacy Student Scholarship Program (Postdoctorate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To support the development of future leaders in chain community pharmacy. Focus: Pharmacy. Qualif.: Applicants must be enrolled as full-time pharmacy students in accredited U.S. colleges or schools of pharmacy, studying to obtain a doctor of pharmacy degree. Applicants must have completed at least one professional year of pharmacy school to apply; must have experience in chain community pharmacy as well as the desire to pursue a career in chain community pharmacy; must have a minimum “C” GPA. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on the student's letter on career goals and interest in chain community pharmacy practice; recommendation from their chain pharmacy employer; student's credentials including leadership activities, professional, and community involvement and chain community pharmacy experience.

Funds Avail.: $2,000. Number Awarded: 45. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed application form; a current resume or curriculum vitae; a cover letter explaining their interest and career goals in chain community pharmacy practice (not more than two pages,typewritten); and a letter of recommendation from the current or recent community pharmacy employer that explains why the applicant is deserving of the scholarship.
