Alex J. Ettl Grants (Professional Development/Grant)

Purpose: To honor sculptors who demonstrate commitment and exceptional ability in their work. Focus: Sculpture.

Qualif.: Applicants must be U.S. citizens; and non-professional members of National Sculpture Society. Criteria: Awards are given based on the quality of the materials submitted.

Funds Avail.: $4,000. To Apply: Applicants must submit at least 10 images of their work (of at least eight different works) and a brief biographical sketch or resume. The images should be submitted in a CD in .tif format, 300 dpi resolution, and approximately 800 pixels long (longest side of the image); or in 8“x10” photographs indicated at the back the name of the sculptor, title, size, medium, and date of execution. Applicants must also provide a self-addressed stamped envelope for the return of the photographs. Deadline: January 10.

5038 National Sculpture Society Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to those studying figurative or representational sculpture. Focus: Sculpture. Qualif.: Applicant must be enrolled in a sculpture school. Criteria: Awards are given based on the quality of the materials submitted.

Funds Avail.: $2,000. To Apply: Applicants must submit a letter of application including a brief biography and the background in sculpture; two letters of recommendation; 8-10 images of work on CD with at least three works shown; and a proof of financial need. Submit all materials to: Scholarship National Sculpture Society, 237 Park Ave., Ground Fl. New York, NY 10017. Deadline: May 31.

Remarks: Applicants must also provide a self-addressed stamped envelope for the return of the materials.
