D.C. Opportunity Scholarship Program (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To increase educational opportunities for low-income students and families in Washington, D.C. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be living in Washington, D.C; must currently be attending a public school; must be five years old or entering kindergarten; must have a household income at or below 185 percent of poverty. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on financial need.
Funds Avail.: $7,500. To Apply: Applicants must submit a report card or other school document from the school year showing the child's name, current grade, and school name; applicants must submit a birth certificate for any child who will be entering kindergarten.
