Adour (ädōōr´), river, 210 mi (338 km) long, rising in the Pyrenees of Gascony, SW France. It flows north and then west in a wide arc past Bagnères-de-Bigorre, Aire, and Dax and enters the Bay of Biscay near Bayonne.
