Mumukṣutva (Skt., ‘serious for liberation’). One of the four prerequisites in Hindus for those who aspire to mokṣa (liberation). Śaṅkara describes the others as the power to discriminate between what is real and unreal (viveka), natural capacity and willingness to grow away from worldly things (vairāgya), and the six great virtues (ṣatkasaṃpatti).
