Duprato, Jules-Laurent, French composer; b. Nimes, Aug. 20,1827; d. Paris, May 20, 1892. He studied with Leborne at the Paris Cons., and in 1848 won the Prix de Rome. He composed operettas, cantatas, songs, etc., as well as recitatives for Herold’s L’lllusion and Balfe’s The Bohemian Girl
