American Society for Enology and Viticulture Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To define questions in the wine industry and work towards answers based on the relevant and scientifically rigorous information on selected topics. Focus: Viticulture. Qualif.: All applicants must be undergraduate and graduate students and enrolled in or accepted into a full-time accredited four year college or university program; applicant should be a minimum of junior status for the upcoming academic year(45/06 quarter units); undergraduate students must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0; graduate students must have a minimum overall grade point average of 3.2. These averages must be based on a scale maximum of 4.0; applicants must be enrolled in a major or in a graduate group emphasizing enology or viviculture, or in a curriculum emphasizing a science basic to the wine and grape industry. Criteria: Undergraduate and graduate students will be rated on a separate basis.

Funds Avail.: No specific amount. To Apply: Applicant must download the scholarship application form or contact ASEV office; fill out the application form after receiving the packet; an applicant must send the application, copies of transcript, and two original letters of recommendation to the ASEV office; an applicant must submit a list of planned courses for the upcoming academic year. Deadline: March 1.
