Louis Armstrong Scholarships (High School/Scholarship)

Purpose: To award scholarship to students in their junior year. Focus: Music. Qualif.: Applicant must be a junior-year student and enrolled full-time at Mt. Vermon High School. Criteria: Selection will be based on abilities in music performance and composition.

Funds Avail.: No specific amount. To Apply: The ASCAP Foundation does not accept applications for this scholarship. Charlotte V. Bergen Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide scholarship to young composers, aged 18 or under, to be used for music study at an accredited college or music conservatory. Focus: Music. Qualif.: Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States, or enrolled students with Students Visas. Criteria: Selection will be based on the committee's criteria.

Funds Avail.: No specific amount. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed application form, one reproduction of a manuscript or score, biographical information including music studies, background and experience and a list of compositions. Completed Application materials must be postmarked on or before the deadline. Deadline: March 1.

Cherry Lane Foundation/Music Alive! Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To award scholarships annually to African-American college or university students. Focus: Music. Qualif.: Applicant must be an African-American college or university student majoring in music. Applicants must demonstrate musical talent and proficiency in the areas of arranging, producing, conducting, performing. Criteria: Selection will be based on the committee's criteria.

Funds Avail.: No specific amount. To Apply: The ASCAP Foundation does not accept applications for this scholarship. Interested students should consult their school's financial aid office for application information.

David Rose Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To award scholarship to qualified college-level students. Focus: Filmmaking; Music. Qualif.: Applicant must be a college-level student working toward a career in scoring for film and/or television who is participating in AS-CAP's Film and Television Scoring Workshop. Criteria: Selection will be based on the committee's criteria.

Fran Morgenstern Davis Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide scholarship to the music composition students at the Manhattan School of Music. Focus: Music. Qualif.: Applicants must be full-time undergraduate music composition students at the Manhattan School of Music who demonstrate the potential to produce creative and original work and who also demonstrate financial need. Criteria: Selection will be based on the Manhattan School of Music faculty's criteria.

Funds Avail.: No specific amount. Number Awarded: 2.

To Apply: Applicants must submit an application together with other required documents to the Manhattan School of Music.

John Denver Music Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide young music students with an opportunity to attend a summer music camp which they would otherwise not be able to afford. Focus: Music. Qualif.: Applicants must be students, aged 10-16, who demonstrate both musical promise and financial need. Criteria: Selection will be based on the committee's criteria.

Louis Dreyfus Warner-Chappell City College Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To award scholarships to composition students for scores written for dance, film/video or theater. Focus: Music. Qualif.: Applicants must be students enrolled in either a B.A. or B.F.A. program at the City College/City University of New York. Criteria: Selection will be based on the committee's criteria.

Steve Kaplan TV and Film Studies Scholarships (Professional Development/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance for an aspiring television and film composer to attend ASCAP's Film Scoring Workshop in Los Angeles. Focus: Filmmaking; Music. Qualif.: Applicant must be a television and film composer. Criteria: Selection will be based on the committee's criteria.

Leiber and Stoller Music Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide assistance to young aspiring songwriters, musicians and vocalists. Focus: Music. Qualif.:
