Alaska Kidney Foundation-ASN Research Grants (Doctorate/Grant)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance for young faculty to foster evolution towards an independent research career. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be residents of North America, active member of the ASN and hold an MD or PhD or equivalent degree. Criteria: Applicants will be assessed based on his/her potential and the proposed project for eventual funding by a NIH R01 grant or its equivalent; qualifications with respect to prior

training, productivity and independence, as well as the scientific merit of the proposed project; and commitment to the development as an independent investigator.

Funds Avail.: $100,000. To Apply: Applicants must submit original and three paper copies of the application (including letter from Department Chair or Division Director), and three letters of reference. Deadline: February 1.

Carl W. Gottschalk Research Scholar Grants (Doctorate/Grant)
