Canadian Aboriginal Science and Technology Society Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To encourage educational pursuits among aboriginal students involved in the earth sciences. Focus: Geosciences. Qualif.: Applicants must be aboriginal students pursuing academic programs in the earth sciences. The program of study must be at least two years in length and the student must have completed the first year of his/her studies. Criteria: Selection is based on on merit.

Funds Avail.: $1,250. To Apply: Applicants must submit the following: high school transcript; university transcript (second semester midterm results accepted if received under separate cover and signed by department head); recommendation by department head and another teaching faculty member of the department. Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists Regional Graduate Scholarships (Doctorate, Graduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To promote advanced education and research in fields of geology that are applicable to the petroleum industry. Focus: Geology. Qualif.: Program is open to M.Sc. or Ph.D. students attending Canadian universities who are progressing to their second or subsequent year(s) of study in petroleum geology-related disciplines. Candidates must hold Canadian citizenship or landed immigrant status and must be accepted into their second year as full-time graduate student at a Canadian University. Criteria: Applicants will be evaluated on the basis of academic standing.

Funds Avail.: $1,500. To Apply: Applicants must completed

Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists Regional Undergraduate Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To encourage educational pursuits in the field of geology. Focus: Earth Sciences. Qualif.: Program is open to all undergraduates enrolled in an accredited Earth Science program of a Canadian University who are in their second or third year. Candidates must hold Canadian citizenship or landed immigrants status. Criteria: Applicants will be evaluated on the basis of academic standing.

Glen Ruby Memorial Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To promote excellence in petroleum geology and geophysics by assisting in the development of future geo-scientists. Focus: Geoscience. Qualif.: Applicants must be students in their second, third or fourth year of studies in areas related to petroleum geology and geophysics. Criteria: Selection will be based on merit.

Funds Avail.: $2,000-$4,000. To Apply: Applicants must submit the completed application form together with copy of transcripts. Application forms are available online. Deadline: October 31.
