Aplastic, Anemia and Myelosdysplasia Scholarships (Graduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To support students who want to pursue their education. Focus: Hematology; Oncology. Qualif.: Applicants must be nurses who will be focusing their research in the field of hematology or oncology; must be willing to increase awareness of Aplastic, Anemia and Myelodyspla-sia issues by presenting to colleagues or sitting on the Board of the Association; must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident status; must be studying in Canada; must be RNs enrolled in a Masters program in a health related field; must be non-nurses who hold a degree in a health-related field and are in a nursing-related program, which will qualify them as RNs at the Master's level; must be full-time or part-time students, but part-time students must be taking a minimum of 2 courses each semester. Criteria: Preference will be given to CANO members.

Astra Zeneca RURAL Scholarships (Doctorate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To support students who want to pursue their education. Focus: Nursing. Qualif.: Applicant must be a student doing research that will impact front line nursing care delivery to under serviced or marginalized populations in rural setting; must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident status; must be studying in Canada; must be an RNs full-time or part-time students, but part-time students must be taking a minimum of 2 courses each semester or doing thesis work; must not receive other awards or scholarships during the Scholar Year of the application. Criteria: Selection of applicants will be based on the Scholarship application criteria.

Ann Beckingham Scholarships (Doctorate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To support students who want to pursue their education. Focus: Nursing. Qualif.: Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident status; must be studying in Canada; must be an RNs full-time or part-time students, but part-time students must be taking a minimum of 2 courses each semester or doing thesis work; must not receive other awards or scholarships during the Scholar Year of the application. Criteria: Selection of applicants will be based on the Scholarship application criteria.

Criteria: Selection of applicants will be based on the Scholarship application criteria.

Remarks: Scholarship was established by the Birks Family Foundation out of an interest in contributing to a higher standard of living and quality of life by supporting higher education, the hospital sector, and health organizations.

Canadian Nurses Foundation - Baxter Corporation Scholarships (Graduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To support students who want to pursue their education. Focus: Nursing. Qualif.: Applicants must be students in Nursing Sciences program; must be Canadian citizens or permanent resident status; must be studying in Canada; must be RNs enrolled in a Masters program in a health related field; must be non-nurses who hold a degree in a health-related field and are in a nursing-related program, which will qualify them as RNs at the Master's level; must be full-time or part-time students, but part-time students must be taking a minimum of 2 courses each semester. Criteria: Selection of applicants will be based on the Scholarship application criteria.

Canadian Nurses Foundation Northern Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To support students who want to pursue their education. Focus: Nursing. Qualif.: Applicant must be a student intending to work in Canada's North. Criteria: Preference will be given to aboriginal origin or nurses who have worked in the north for at least 2 years.

Extendicare Scholarships (Graduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To support students who want to pursue their education. Focus: Gerontology. Qualif.: Applicants must be nurses who intend to practice, teach or do research in gerontology/long term care; must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents status; must be studying in Canada; must be RNs enrolled in a Masters program in a health related field; must be non-nurses who hold a degree in a health-related field and are in a nursing-related program, which will qualify them as RNs at the Master's level; must be full-time or part-time students, but part-time students must be taking a minimum of 2 courses each semester. Criteria: Selection of applicants will be based on the scholarship application criteria.

Helen Glass Scholarships (Doctorate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To support students who want to pursue their education. Focus: Nursing. Qualif.: Applicants must be Nurses from Manitoba who are studying in community health nursing, primary health care, health nursing and studies which focus on “at risk population”; must be registered nurses who are undertaking graduate studies in nursing; must be willing to practice in Canada for a period of not less than 6-12 months after the Scholarship has been received; must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident status; must be studying in Canada; must be an RNs full-time or part-time students, but part-time students must be taking a minimum of 2 courses each semester or doing thesis work. Criteria: Selection of applicants will be based on the Scholarship application criteria.

Judy Hill Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To support students who want to pursue their education. Focus: Nursing. Qualif.: Applicant must be a student who has worked in the north and must sign a statement that they will practice nursing in the north for a period of 12 months; must be Canadian citizen or permanent resident status; must be studying in Canada; must be entering at least year 2 as a full-time student of a baccalaureate-nursing program. Criteria: Selection of applicants will be based on the Scholarship application criteria.

Hoffman-Laroche Scholarships (Graduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To support students who want to pursue their education. Focus: Nursing. Qualif.: Applicants must be pursuing a Nurse Practitioner or Advanced Nurse Practitioner master or nursing degree with an emphasis on Hepatitis

C; must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents status; must be studying in Canada; must be RNs enrolled in a Masters program in a health related field; must be non-nurses who hold a degree in a health-related field and are in a nursing-related program, which will qualify them as RNs at the Master's level; must be full-time or part-time students, but part-time students must be taking a minimum of 2 courses each semester. Criteria: Selection of applicants will be based on the Scholarship application criteria.

Johnson & Johnson Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To support students who want to pursue their education. Focus: Nursing. Qualif.: Applicant must be a student who plans to practice nursing in an operating room or a critical care area; must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident status; must be studying in Canada; must be entering at least year 2 as a full-time student of a baccalaureate-nursing program. Criteria: Selection of applicants will be based on the Scholarship application criteria.

Dorothy Kergin Scholarships (Doctorate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To support students who want to pursue their education. Focus: Nursing. Qualif.: Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident status; must be studying in Canada; must be an RNs full-time or part-time students, but part-time students must be taking a minimum of 2 courses each semester or doing thesis work; must be a student at the doctoral level. Criteria: Selection of applicants will be based on the Scholarship application criteria.

Remarks: Established by Dr. Kergin, a distinguished nurse, who was Professor and Associate Dean of Health Sciences at McMaster University and later Professor and Director of the School of Nursing at the University of Victoria.

Tecla Lin & Nelia Laroza Memorial Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To support students who want to pursue their education. Focus: Nursing. Qualif.: Applicant must be a foreign educated nurse working towards baccalaureate degree; must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident status; must be studying in Canada; must be entering at least year 2 as a full-time student of a baccalaureate-nursing program. Criteria: Selection of applicants will be based on the Scholarship application criteria.

Eleanor Martin Scholarships (Graduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To support students who want to pursue their education. Focus: Nursing. Qualif.: Applicants must be students interested in studying either Neurosurgical or Cancer nursing fields; must be Canadian citizens or permanent resident status; must be studying in Canada; must be RNs enrolled in a Masters program in a health related field; must be non-nurses who hold a degree in a health-related field and are in a nursing-related program, which will qualify them as RNs at the Master's level; must be full-time or part-time students, but part-time students must be taking a minimum of 2 courses each semester. Criteria: Selection of applicants will be based on the Scholarship application criteria.

Meloche-Monnex Scholarships (Doctorate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To support students who want to pursue their education. Focus: Nursing. Qualif.: Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident status; must be studying in Canada; must be an RNs full-time or part-time students, but part-time students must be taking a minimum of 2 courses each semester or doing thesis work; must be a student at the doctoral level. Criteria: Selection of applicants will be based on the Scholarship application criteria.

Remarks: Established by TD Meloche Monnex, Canada's leading provider of insurance and added-value financial services, known for its exceptional quality of customer service.

Military Nurses Association Scholarships (Graduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To support students who want to pursue their education. Focus: Nursing. Qualif.: Applicants must be students at master level; must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents status; must be studying in Canada; must be RNs enrolled in a Masters program in a health related field; must be non-nurses who hold a degree in a health-related field and are in a nursing-related program, which will qualify them as RNs at the Master's level; must be full-time or part-time students, but part-time students must be taking a minimum of 2 courses each semester. Criteria: Preference will be given to military nurses, or former military.

Margaret Munro Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To support students who want to pursue their education. Focus: Nursing. Qualif.: Applicant must be a student form Prince Edward Island; must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident status; must be studying in Canada; must be entering at least year 2 as a full-time student of a baccalaureate-nursing program. Criteria: Selection of applicants will be based on the Scholarship application criteria.

Helen Mussallem Scholarships (Graduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To support students who want to pursue their education. Focus: Nursing. Qualif.: Applicants must be students at master level; must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents status; must be studying in Canada; must be RNs enrolled in a Masters program in a health related field; must be non-nurses who hold a degree in a health-related field and are in a nursing-related program, which will qualify them as RNs at the Master's level; must be full-time or part-time students, but part-time students must be taking a minimum of 2 courses each semester. Criteria: Selection of applicants will be based on the Scholarship application criteria.

New Brunswick Nurses Association Scholarships (Graduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To support students who want to pursue their education. Focus: Nursing. Qualif.: Applicants must be students from New Brunswick; must be Canadian citizens or permanent resident status; must be studying in Canada; must be RNs enrolled in a Masters program in a health related field; must be non-nurses who hold a degree in a health-related field and are in a nursing-related program, which will qualify them as RNs at the Master's level; must be full-time or part-time students, but part-time students must be taking a minimum of 2 courses each semester. Criteria: Selection of applicants will be based on the Scholarship application criteria.

Sharon Nield Memorial Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To support students who want to pursue their education. Focus: Nursing. Qualif.: Applicants must be registered nurses returning to school; must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents status; must be studying in Canada; must be entering at least year 2 as full-time students of a baccalaureate-nursing program. Criteria: Selection of applicants will be based on the Scholarship application criteria.

Senator Norman Paterson Fellowship Scholarships (Doctorate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To support students who want to pursue their education. Focus: Nursing. Qualif.: Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident status; must be studying in Canada; must be an RNs full-time or part-time students, but part-time students must be taking a minimum of 2 courses each semester or doing thesis work; must be a student at the doctoral level. Criteria: Selection of applicants will be based on the Scholarship application criteria.

Remarks: Established to honour the memory of Mr. Norman M. Paterson, who served as President of the Victorian Order of Nurses in Canada.

Sanofi Pasteur Scholarships (Graduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To support students who want to pursue their education. Focus: Nursing. Qualif.: Applicants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents status; must be studying in Canada; must be RNs enrolled in a Masters program in a health related field; must be non-nurses who hold a degree in a health-related field and are in a nursing-related program, which will qualify them as RNs at the Master's level; must be full-time or part-time students, but part-time students must be taking a minimum of 2 courses each semester.
