CLA/ACB Dafoe Scholarships (Graduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To encourage individuals to pursue their masters degree in library and information studies. Focus: Library and archival sciences. Qualif.: Candidates must be Canadian citizens or landed immigrants; must have professional library/information science degrees at an ALA-accredited institution. Criteria: Applicants are selected based on academic achievement, leadership potential and expressed interest in the profession.

Funds Avail.: $5,000. To Apply: Application and scholarship reference forms are available from the website. Deadline: May 1.

H.W. Wilson Scholarships (Graduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To encourage individuals to pursue their masters degree in library and information studies. Focus: Library and archival sciences. Qualif.: Candidates must be Canadian citizens or with landed immigrant status; must have professional library degrees at an ALA-accredited

institution. Criteria: Scholarship applications are reviewed by the committee of members of the Canadian Library Association.

World Book Graduate Scholarships in Library and Information Science (Graduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To support individuals who wish to pursue a PhD degree in library and information studies. Focus: Library and archival sciences. Qualif.: Applicant must be an individual who holds a MLS/MLIS degree, and is pursuing a PhD degree in library and information studies in either Canada or the United States; must be a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on the application and other supporting documents.

Funds Avail.: $2,500. To Apply: Application form is available at the website; applicants are advised to visit the Scholarships Committee, c/o CLA/ACB Memver Service Department, 328 Frank St., Ottawa, ON K2P 0X8. Deadline: May 1.
