Leo J. Krysa Family Undergraduate Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To help students pursue their final year of study in the faculty of Arts or Education. Focus: Ukrainian studies. Qualif.: Candidates must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada at the time of application; must be students in the faculty of Arts and Education about to enter their final year of study in pursuit of an undergraduate degree. Criteria: Applications will be judged on a points system that emphasizes academic achievement, performance in Ukrainian-content course, writing sample (paper or essay), and community involvement.
Funds Avail.: $3,500. To Apply: Applicants must submit an official transcript of records. Application form is available from the Canadian Institute of Ukrainian Studies, 450 Athabasca Hall, University of Alberta, Edmonton, AB, CAN T6G 2E8. Deadline: March 1.
Ukrainian Canadian Professional and Business Club Scholarships in Education (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To support students who wish to pursue their final year of study in the faculty of Education. Focus: Ukrainian studies. Qualif.: Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate student completing the third or fourth year in the faculty of Education at the University of Alberta; must have taken one course in language acquisition or teaching and one senior course in Ukrainian language or literature; must have both academic standing and demonstrated involvement in the Ukrainian community. Criteria: Application will be judged on a points system that emphasizes academic achievement, performance in Ukrainian-content course, writing sample (paper or essay), and community involvement.
