TALBOT, JOHN, BL.
Lay martyr; b. at Thornton-le-Street (in the North Riding), Yorkshire, England; d. Aug. 9, 1600, hanged at Durham. He was arrested for being in the company of Bl. Thomas palaser in the home of Bl. John norton, condemned for assisting a priest and refusing to attend the state church. He was beatified by Pope John Paul II on Nov. 22, 1987 with George Haydock and Companions.
