La Rochejacquelein, Marie Louise Victoire, marquise de (1772–1857)

French royalist and author of Mémoires. Name variations: LaRochejaquelein; Marquise de La Rochejacquelein. Born Marie Louise Victoire de Donissan or de Donnisson in Versailles, France, on October 25, 1772; died at Orléans, France, on February 15, 1857; married Louis du Vergier or Verger, marquis de La Rochejacquelein (1777–1815).

Marie Louise Victoire, marquise de La Rochejacquelein, was a royalist and second wife of Louis du Vergier, marquis de La Rochejacquelein, the French Vendean leader who was killed in battle at Pontdes-Mathis, near St.-Gilles, France, on June 4, 1815. Her brother-in-law, Henri du Vergier, comte de La Rochejacquelein, had also been killed in battle at Nouaille, in March 1794. Mme La Rochejacquelein published her Mémoires of the Napoleonic Wars in 1815.
